Anecdotal evidence suggests that ISO 9000 certified firms can achieve economic benefits for employer (Diaye et al., 2008; Terlaak and King, 2006; Corbett et al., 2005) but is there a positive outcome for employees in the form of wage? A cross sectional survey called the “Changement Organisationnel et Informatisation” (COI 1997) is used to collect the required information to answer this question. Furthermore we track time effect to develop analysis of the impact of the Early and New Adopters of ISO 9000 certification on employees’ wage. We employ propensity score estimates and find evidence that ISO 9000 certification is positively associated with higher wages. Moreover, three years delay, gives no impact advantage to Early Adopters comparing to New Adopters.Subjects / Keywords
