Sufficient conditions for the existence of equilibria in pure strategies in Market Entry Games are provided. These conditions are (i) a form of payoff monotonicity and (ii) acyclicity of a particular “dominance” relation defined on the set of players; they do not exclude asymmetry of the players. The result is applicable to asymmetric oligopoly models with technological nonconvexities such as fixed costs.Subjects / Keywords
