dc.description.abstractfrLa notion de capital social constitue un lieu commun des sciences sociales où il y a le risque de considérer comme évident ce qui est, en realité, une tour de Babel en matière des programmes de recherche. Ce travail est construit sur une distinction fondamentale: ce n‟est pas la même chose de comprendre les intéractions humaines comme une ressource au service des intérêts individuels ou dans le cadre d´un processus d‟action collective. La première perspective prend le chemin du tournant micro-économique qui a pour but de reconstruire la théorie sociale sur le socle de la théorie de la décision individuelle. De cette façon, on assume qu‟il y a des choix individuels d‟interdépendance, mais les médiations qui les facilitent sont considérées comme endogènes au calcul d‟utilité individuel. À travers cette démarche, la coopération, si elle existe, est un effet inattendu de la recherche du profit individuel. La deuxième perspective prend le chemin néo-structurel, inspiré de Simmel, qui a pour but d´identifier des régularités émergentes, c‟est-à-dire non programmées par les individus, dans des processus répétés d‟intéraction. De cette façon, et sans nier l‟agir stratégique des individus, on assume qu‟il y a des médiations exogènes, pré-fixées et non-pré-fixées, qui facilitent ou pas la production conjointe de biens et de services collectifs. À travers cette démarche, la coopération, si elle existe, est le résultat des arrangements organisationnels qui encastrent la négociation et le conflit d‟intérêts individuels. D‟après cette démarche, on a élaboré une grille d‟analyse pour connaître le processus de construction d‟une iniciative productive avec des petits agriculteurs de palme d‟huile. Les conditions extrêmes d´un contexte de violence politique et d´économie illégale ont permis de mettre à l´épreuve la conjecture du capital social, au sens non-instrumental, en tant qu´infrastructure des processus de production économiques. On a employé des techniques d‟analyse micro-institutionnelle et d‟analyse de réseaux sociaux. Entre autres résultats, on a verifié que la construction, en conditions extrêmes, d‟un arrangement organisationnel, riche en capital social, suppose, du côté de l‟équipe inductrice, une pédagogie qui fasse l‟équilibre entre les incitations à l‟entrée et les coûts de sortie pour les bénéficiaires, dépersonnalise l‟accès à l‟information utile, s‟aperçoive de l‟importance de la proximité spatiale, de l‟homophilie des choix de collaboration et de la faiblesse des liens de parenté comme mécanisme de contrôle social latéral.en

dc.description.abstractenThe concept of social capital is widely used in the social sciences today. We risk appearing obvious by affirming that the use of the term has created a tower of Babel in research programs. This study is based on a basic distinction: it recognizes that there is a difference between understanding human interactions as a resource at the service of individuals and understanding them within a process of collective action. The first perspective follows the altered trail blazed by micro-economics that seeks to re-found social theory on a basis of individual decision theory. In this sense, I assume that there are interdependent individual choices, however, social mediations that facilitate these choices are considered endogenous to the calculation of individual utility. With this explanatory route, cooperation, if it exists, is a collateral effect for the search for individual interest. The second perspective travels along the neo-structural path, inspired by Simmel, which seeks to capture emergent regularities. That is, it is not programmed by individuals, in repeated of interaction. In this sense, and without denying the strategic action of individuals, it assumes that there are exogenous mediations, pre-fixed and not pre-fixed, which help or hinder the joint production of collective goods or services. According to this explanation, cooperation, if it exists, is the result of organizational arrangements that channel the negotiation and conflict of individual interests. With the latter strategy in mind, an analytical table was constructed to understand the constitution of a productive initiative with small palm oil producers. The extreme conditions found in a context of political violence and illegal economic activities allow submitting the conjecture of social capital to a particular test, understood in a non-instrumental form as the infrastructure of economic production processes. Micro-institutional analysis techniques were combined with social network analysis. It was found that the construction - under the extreme conditions of political violence and illegal economic activities - of a productive arrangement rich in social capital, presupposes that the group implementing the process use a pedagogy that balances input incentives with output costs for the beneficiaries, who depersonalize access to useful information; which considers the spatial proximity of production, homophilic collaboration choices; and the weakness of kinship ties as a mechanism for lateral social control.en
