Abstract (EN)We give a brief overview of some trends of research atCEREMADE in Image Processing that started about 30years ago with pioneering work in PDEs and variationalmethods for Image Processing. This involved thoroughstudy of the Mumford-Shah image segmentation energyminimization, axiomatization of Image processing forimage denoising, important contributions to activecontour models, Elastic deformable curves and surfacesfor segmentation, and geodesic methods. Among thevarious applications, medical image analysis has been animportant motivation that lead to many new methods,with many collaborations with hospital and industry
