Abstract (EN)
The recent development of the agricultural sector necessitates increasingly complex farm management. To face this development, management software solutions must be continually adapted to cover the whole range of farm enterprise activities and management requirements and also to avoid farm enterprise information systems fragmentation. The setting up of integrated management tools such as the ERP Systems (Enterprise Resource Planning) from the industrial sector to tackle the problem represents a genuine challenge for the agricultural sector. ERP systems offer many functions and permit the industrial sector to coordinate the whole set of enterprise activities (such as production, supply, marketing, human resource management, etc) with an integrated information system. We propose in this article to investigate the major functions of ERP Systems and particularly the main enterprise activities and processes managed by those tools. Using the example of the SAP ERP solution as a reference and the case study of a mixed crop-livestock farm, we propose to identify which farm activities could be managed by the ERP major functions. We then evaluate how completely these farm activities are presently supported by agricultural software and formulate a first report of agricultural software function requirements given by the ERP function analysis.
